About

My love for food started at an early age…

At the age of 10, I orchestrated my first food event by organizing a surprise birthday party for my mother. At the age of 15 I acquired my grandmother’s Gourmet magazine collection and would read them into the night.  It was here that I realized my passion for food so it was a natural progression becoming employed at the local restaurant throughout high school in my hometown of Drayton, ND.

While raising my children, I had a home-based catering business that satisfied my creativity.  During that time, my very patient husband let me travel around the country taking cooking classes. I kept up with food trends and incorporated them into family meals.

Fast-forwarding my move to Fargo, I worked at Nichole’s Fine Pastry and had the privilege to be on the ground-floor in starting Café Robert located in Scheels Home and Hardware. During that time, I received my MBA and waited for an opportunity to arise. In 2016, Michele’s Table was started where you see me every Saturday at the Red River Market during the summer showing the sweet side of my business.

Each year my little business has grown and now to a point of not being able to produce enough product.  The hunt began looking for my own brick and mortar. I became very discouraged visiting with commercial realtors on the actual cost of starting this type of business in Fargo.Good things happen to those who wait!  I was given an opportunity for my own commercial kitchen who my dear friend, Mabel Singer, asked if I would like to take it over after she retires.  With much hesitation, lots of prayers, and encouragement from my family, I can say that I now have my own brick-and-mortar kitchen. Located in a commercial strip mall, I have transformed this location that anybody would be proud of.

The time has come to build this new food-inspired life. Michele’s Table will focus on boutique food events for 50 people or less. It is part bakeshop, part event and catering company. There will be further expansions but for the time being, I hope this gives you a better idea of what I can do for you. Do not hesitate to give me a call to talk about your event. I would love the opportunity to work with you.

I love a challenge so follow me along the way-this is going to be so much fun.

Bon appétit!

Michele
